How to use Turtl Wax chrome polish, cleaner, and rust remover:
To achieve the best results and preserve the exterior surfaces of the car, follow these steps carefully:
1. Surface preparation:
Clean the surface well: before polishing, ensure the chrome (or nickel) surface is clean and free of dirt, dust, or mud. It is preferable to wash the part to be polished with water and soap first, then rinse well and dry.
Ensure the surface is cool: do not use the product on a hot surface, especially if the rims have been exposed to direct sunlight or the car has just been driven. Let the surface cool completely to prevent the product from drying quickly.
2. Application:
Shake the container well: before each use, shake the product container thoroughly to ensure the ingredients are well mixed.
Apply a small amount: put a small amount of the chrome polish on a clean, soft cloth (such as microfiber) or on a sponge applicator.
Apply to a small area: start by testing the product on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility and no unwanted reactions, although this product is generally safe for chrome and nickel.
3. Polishing and removal:
Rub in circular motions: using the cloth or sponge with the product, rub the chrome surface in even circular motions with light to moderate pressure.
Focus on rust areas: in rusted or stubborn spots, you may need to focus and rub a little harder and longer. You will notice the product turning slightly black during dirt and oxidation removal.
Do not let the product dry: work on a small section at a time and avoid letting it dry completely on the surface before wiping.
4. Wiping and final polishing:
Wipe the product: after rubbing, use another clean, dry microfiber cloth to wipe off the residue from the surface.
Polish for shine: with a completely clean, dry cloth, polish the surface in gentle circular motions until the desired shine is achieved and any streaks or residues are removed.
Important tips:
Wear gloves: it is preferable to wear protective gloves to protect your hands during use.
Avoid non-chrome/nickel surfaces: although the product is designed for chrome (and nickel), be careful to avoid contact with uncoated plastic surfaces, paint, or rubber, and wipe immediately if touched.
Storage: tightly close the container after use and store in a cool, dry place away from children and direct sunlight.
Ventilation: use the product in a well-ventilated area.
